18th - 21st July 2005

Well, Mummy has gone home, and now it's just Dad, my Bro, my Sis and I left... I guess pretty soon it would be just me left here, I took mummy having to go back as a point to prepare myself to be alone and to settle things in Uni....

I settled my accommodations and enrollment for classes then, I stayed with my family at a holiday motel... not too bad, cause the motel was just outside nearby my Uni... For the next few days, we were just going around stuffing ourselves with food and getting stuff for my room to make my stay here as comfortable as possible... Well, with all the stuff I have in my room, I'd have no problems surviving for a month without ever coming out... but that wouldn't be too healthy would it??

On wednesday, we all decided to go buggying and go-karting... It was awesome!!! My bro and I were trying hard to overturning the whole buggy at every turn, but sadly it didn't happen... oh well, I would mind doing it again man... It was fun fun fun, but tiring...

Thursday was really hard for me cause it's time for my family to leave me in Brisbane to go back to Singapore... They dropped me off at the place I was to be staying at and then we said out goodbyes... As they drove off, it felt like the first time I was going to NS... being left at Tekong Island... Pretty alright, till it became dark, and then I started feeling really alone... I wasn't able to just call anyone to chat and stuff cause I had to think about how much the call would cost, so I decided against it and just tried my best to fall asleep... You never really think about how lucky you are till you're all alone in a strange country...

Jumping out of your comfort zone back home was nothing cause you'd somehow know you'll be able to get back into it as soon as you get home... Here, everywhere isn't a comfort zone and you just don't have anywhere to turn to for asylum... It's pretty scary shit, but I guess I coped well, cause I'm so freaking thick skinned... hahahahah

Friday was fun... I signed up for a trip to Gold Coast for international students... got to know lots of new friends... really cool... however mostly everyone lives off campus, so it's kinda difficult to contact and hang out with each other... oh well... no worries there... I'm like making lots of friends at my college... so pictures of my friends...
